O'Neal Insurance Group is an independent agency built on a simple idea: the person who explains your coverage should be the same person who answers the phone in March when you have a question about a bill.
Why we work this way
Most people meet Medicare through a mailbox full of glossy postcards and a phone that rings at dinnertime. The pitch is always urgent, always about a benefit, and almost never about your doctors or your prescriptions. Then January arrives and the plan doesn’t work the way anyone promised.
We built this agency to be the opposite of that. We’re independent, so we’re not selling one company’s plan — we compare what’s actually available in your county and tell you the trade-offs, including the ones that don’t favor a sale. If the coverage you already have is the best fit, we’ll say so, and you’ll have wasted nothing but a phone call.
Our help costs you nothing. Carriers pay agents a regulated commission when someone enrolls, and the premium is identical whether you enroll through us, on your own, or through a 1-800 number. The difference is who you can call afterward.
What you can expect from us
Plain language
No jargon without a translation. If we use a term like “formulary” or “guaranteed issue,” we explain it before we use it again.
No pressure, no deadlines we invented
Medicare has real deadlines. We’ll tell you what they are, and we won’t manufacture any others to hurry you.
Your doctors first
Every comparison starts with the providers and prescriptions you already have — not with which plan pays best.
Family welcome
Bring an adult child, a spouse, or a caregiver to any appointment. Two sets of ears is a good idea with this material.
Year-round service
Denied claim, confusing bill, new prescription, a doctor who left the network — that’s what we’re here for after enrollment.
An honest scope
We don’t offer every plan in every area, and we say so. When something is outside what we carry, we’ll point you to Medicare.gov or your state SHIP office.
Two offices, thirty-one places we’re licensed
Most appointments happen by phone or video, which means it doesn’t matter much which office is closer to you. If you’d rather sit across a table, both are open by appointment.
