Accessibility Statement
This site was built for people who are choosing Medicare coverage — many of them older adults, some using screen readers or magnification. That shaped the design.
What we’ve done
- An 18-pixel base text size with generous line spacing, larger than a typical corporate site
- No carousels, no autoplay, no rotating testimonials, and no motion that starts on its own
- Every button, link and control sized to at least 44 by 44 pixels
- A visible keyboard focus outline on every interactive element
- FAQ sections built on native disclosure controls that work with a keyboard and a screen reader, collapsed by default
- Text and background colors chosen to meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast, with color never used as the only signal
- Real headings in order, descriptive link text, and alternative text on meaningful images
- Layouts that reflow to a single column when text is enlarged up to 200%
Our target
We aim to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Accessibility is ongoing rather than finished, and this site is reviewed as pages are added.
